Online Ordering
The easiest way to place an order is through our online ordering portal.
Our online portal provides real-time availability and allows you to submit orders 24/7. Once your order is received, our team will review it and send an order confirmation.
Please contact us to have your email address added to our online ordering system. Once activated, you will be able to place orders, view order history, and access account information.
Please note: Inventory is not reserved until your order has been reviewed and confirmed by Poplar Ridge Nursery.
Online Ordering Portal:
From Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Fredericksburg, and Northern Virginia:
Take I-95 to Fredericksburg and follow signs for VA-3 East toward King George and Montross. Continue on VA-3 East for approximately 48 miles to Montross, Virginia.
From Southern Maryland (Bowie, Waldorf, La Plata, and surrounding areas):
Take US 301 South, cross the Potomac River Bridge into Virginia. Continue on US 301 South. At the 5th stoplight, at the intersection of VA-3 and US 301, turn left onto VA-3 East and travel approximately 22 miles to Montross, Virginia.
Directions
Directions from Montross, VA, to Poplar Ridge Nursery:
Continue on VA 3 east through town of Montross and look for Northern Neck Chevrolet. Take a right approximately 1/10th mile from Northern Neck Chevrolet onto Nelson Street. Follow Nelson to end of state maintenance and continue on farm road ½ mile until you see the nursery.
From Richmond and points South:
Take I-295 North to bypass Richmond, then take U.S. 360 East to Warsaw, Virginia. In Warsaw, turn left at the stoplight by Horn's Ace Hardware onto VA-3 West. Travel approximately 10 miles and turn left onto Nelson Street, located directly across from Westmoreland Industrial Park. Follow Nelson Street to the end of state maintenance and continue on the farm road for approximately ½ mile until you arrive at the nursery.
Shipping and Handling
All orders are shipped F.O.B. Montross, Virginia via UPS, LTL freight carriers, palletized freight shippers, or our nursery truck. Shipping charges are based on the total weight of plant material and shipping distance.
All orders shipping via cardboard box will incur a $3.50 handling fee per flat. Orders containing fewer than five flats are subject to a $4.50 boxing charge, in addition to the flat handling fee. Each box typically holds two to three flats.
For larger orders within approximately 300 miles of Montross, Virginia, Poplar Ridge Nursery offers delivery on our shelved box truck. We also utilize pallet shippers whenever we have enough orders in an area to help minimize freight costs.
We regularly make deliveries throughout Virginia as well as the New England region. Please contact our office for current delivery routes, schedules, and freight options.
Order Pickup
Customers are welcome to pick up orders at our nursery in Montross, Virginia. To ensure your order is prepared and ready for loading, please schedule pickup appointments at least 24 hours in advance. Orders will be staged and loaded upon arrival.
Pallet Rack Program
Orders shipped on nursery pallet racks are subject to a $3.50 per plant pallet rack fee. This fee is waived or refunded when racks are returned to Poplar Ridge Nursery in good condition. Please contact our office regarding rack return procedures and applicable credits.
Terms and Conditions
Terms of Sale
We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express. Credit Card purchases will have a 3.5% transaction fee.
Check or money order on prepaid orders - $35 service charge on returned checks.
Customer accounts which are 60 days past due will revert to a cash-only account on future orders. All accounts past due are subject to 1.5% monthly finance charge, which is 18% annually.

Credits & Claims
Poplar Ridge Nursery, Inc. guarantees all plant material to be true to name, of good vigor, and free from pest and disease. All claims should be made within 72 hours of receipt of goods. Poplar Ridge Nursery is not responsible for damage that may occur as a result of the carrier. Please inspect all packages immediately and note any damages with the delivery person.
Labels
For your convenience, we offer picture tags, when available, for purchase with your liner orders for $.18 each. Please let us know if labels are needed when ordering.
